With an auction of German bonds failing to meet expectations and Chinese manufacturing data at its lowest output in 32 months, the markets were poised to move lower as we approached the U.S. open. As a result, our plan was to anticipate choppy conditions, on light volume, as most traders looked forward to a long Thanksgiving holiday.
