Optimism remained high that European leaders were working on a concrete plan for the Greek bailout and funding options for additional financial assistance as may be required. As a result, Asian and European markets were trading 3%-5% higher and this momentum helped Wall Street open with a strong opening gap up. But after the open, the markets settled down and largely traded in a sideways, range bound fashion.
