Coffee with Markus Season 2 Episode 7 Day 3 of Nationals Preparation

It is the end of the third day of the National Championship and we have to pack up because we need to get ready for the next regatta. The kids are putting their boat in the trailer and we will also put the Harley and the “Toyota Spyder MR2” in there.

We will head north and we will go through New York City and then spend the night somewhere north of New York City and then head to Cape Cod on the next day.

As soon as we arrive we will do the same drill again, that’s unloading and unpacking the boat and the equipment. The kids will check the equipment and make sure that everything is in good condition. Then they will talk to the local sailors to ask about the wind conditions. They will then go out and check it for themselves.

These kids are the great example for traders. Traders should be doing the same, whether you are embarking on a new endeavor or investing, you have to check the conditions. Talk to somebody who knows how it is done; someone who can show you the ropes and knows the pitfalls and the shortcuts. And ones you have checked and asked around, test it for yourself. Do not take anybody’s word. Just like the kids, they don’t take the word of the local sailors because they go out and check the wind for themselves.

Listening to somebody who has experience and gathering knowledge is one of the key preparations that you have to take.
