Right now, I am spending a few days with my kids in Port Aransas, TX.
Last night, I took a picture of this sunset.
Sunsets are magical.
I could watch sunsets every night.
Sunsets are calming.
And they are great for “thinking time.”
Yesterday I was pondering a quote:
“There are two great days in a person’s life:
The day we are born and the day we discover why.”
Here’s why I think this quote is so powerful:
Nobody is born to go to work every day and work in a job that they don’t like!
I believe that everybody has a unique purpose in life.
Have you already found your purpose?
For most people, it is NOT what they are doing now.
I know for me it wasn’t!
I was working for IBM.
And trust me: It is NOT my purpose to work for IBM for 30 years and get a Golden Watch.
And when I realized that, I left IBM to become a trader.
… Because I wanted to have more time for my family.
… I wanted to have more time for my friends.
… I wanted to have more fun!
… I wanted to have less stress.
… I wanted to have a larger impact.
Yes, it was a HUGE decision to leave my corporate job.
That was in 2002 – almost 16 years ago,
… And I’m glad I did it.
What about you?
And are you living your unique purpose right now?
If not, when will you start?
You have so much potential in you!
Don’t hide behind a desk.
Start pursuing your dreams…
… and start living! 🙂
