S&P hits “Sweet 16”

Market Recap For Wednesday, June 4th 2014

U.S. markets crept higher today, with the S&P up +3.5 points closing at a new all-time high.

This is the 16th record close this year. Meanwhile the DOW was up +15 points on the day, but unable to push past the all-time high close set on June 2nd.

With today’s move coming on low volume, it seems as though investors are anxiously awaiting Thursday’s European Central Bank meeting and Friday’s all-important U.S. monthly jobs report.
