How to take something complicated and make it simple.

I love sitting on my front porch.

No, NOT like this:

I’m not that grumpy – at least not yet. Maybe in a few years? Who knows 🙂

Anyhow, there’s a lot of land around the house, and a lot of Texas wildlife:

There’s a roadrunner, a fox, rabbits, skunks, and deer…. lots of deer.

The deer usually visit in the morning and in the evening.

It’s really cool to sit on the front porch and watch the deer: They just walk around all day and eat.

Yes, they are a little bit skittish but if you think about it:

They have a simple life.

And yes, I know that we can’t have such a simple life BUT…

… I also think that often we make things too complicated.

Same with trading:

I remember when I was plotting all these indicators on the chart…

… when I thought I had to subscribe to a bunch of newsletters, …

… when I bought a lot of courses and watch countless hours of videos.

I really thought that trading can’t be simple and that it MUST be complicated.

And I was wrong.

These days, our trading approach is simple. You could even say it’s boring.

All we do is selling puts, getting assigned – or not – and then sell calls.

The end.

And with this simple approach I am making more money than I ever did when I tried to make things complicated – WAY more money.

Anyhow… just wanted to share what I thought about when sitting on the front porch and watching the deer.
